Visas. Requirements

Indonesian and Timorese nationals

The above mentioned nationals wishing to visit Argentina must apply for a visa. For other nationalities please send us an email to consulares_eisia@mrecic.gov.ar or call +62 21 3190 8572.

Application form can be completed in ink or with a computer using software like Adobe Professional or similar.

The process takes about 40 days from the time all the requested documentation has been submitted and an appointment has been made for the consular interview.

Therefore, those requests that do not contemplate a minimum wait (40 days) for the informed term will not be accepted.

Only those visa applications that have submitted all the required documentation according to the category will be processed.

All documentation can be submitted in person to the Consular Section of the Argentine Embassy (Monday – Wednesday – Friday / 10:00 -12:00 hrs.) only with previous appointment requested via email at consulares_eisia@mrecic.gov.ar. Contact will be established to request additional information (if applicable) and once completed, the appellant will be given an appointment for the consular interview.

Consular interview is MANDATORY without exceptions and must be performed at the Embassy's office.

 

TOURIST VISA

The process takes about 30 days from the time all the requested documentation has been submitted and an appointment has been made for the consular interview.

Therefore, those requests that do not contemplate a minimum wait for the informed term will not be accepted.

Only those visa applications that have submitted all the required documentation according to the category will be processed.

All documentation can be submitted in person to the Consular Section of the Argentine Embassy (Monday – Friday / 09:00-14:00 hrs.) or it can be sent by email to consulares_eisia@mrecic.gov.ar  for review by the consular authority. Contact will be established to request additional information (if applicable) and once completed, the appellant will be given an appointment for the consular interview.

The consular interview is MANDATORY.

The process is personal, and the applicant must submit the following documentation (original and copy):
• Valid passport for at least 6 months on the date of entry into the country, and at least one blank page (two pages) available.
• One (1) current photograph 4x4cm, front, color, white background.
• Completed visa application form (preferably in electronic form) and signed by the applicant.
• Proof of economic solvency. Note issued by the bank in which you are the holder of an account detailing for how long have you been the holder of said account, the existing balance at the time of issuing the note, as well as specifying that the account is not inhibited.
• Detail of the last 3 months of bank movements.
• Job reference note that must include the position held, your monthly salary, how long you have been working for said company/employer, as well as precisely detailing the contact information of the person who signs said note.
• Round-trip ticket reservation in the name of the applicant (it is recommended not to purchase the tickets until the visa has been granted).
• Hotel reservation under the name of the appellant (not group) and tourist itinerary detailing activities to be carried out each day.
• If you do not have a hotel reservation, and if there is an invitation from a natural person, a letter of invitation (Follow the example on the website of the Argentine Foreign Ministry: https://cancilleria.gob.ar/es/servicios/servicios-para-extranjeros/carta...)
• Payment of the consular fee: USD 150.-

The preceding list is not exhaustive and the consular authority may require supplementary or additional documentation, as it deems appropriate.

THE ONLY COMPLIANCE WITH THE MENTIONED REQUIREMENTS DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE GRANTING OF THE VISA, AS THIS IS AN EXCLUSIVE PREROGATIVE OF THE ARGENTINE STATE.

 

Business Visa

Applications are personal and the applicant must submit the following documents (an original and a copy):

  • Passport valid for at least six (6) months at the time of entering Argentina, with at least two (2) blank pages.
  • One (1) current 4 x 4 cm photograph, facing the camera, printed in colour, on a white background.
  • Visa application form filled out (preferably in electronic format) and signed by the applicant.
  • Invitation letter from the inviting party in the Argentine Republic. The Argentine institution must be registered in the Registro Único de Requirentes Extranjeros (RENURE) of the National Directorate of Migration (DNM) (Please follow the example present in the following web site: https://cancilleria.gob.ar/en/service/foreigners/invitation-letter ).
  • Proof of commercial/work activity in the place of residence (for example, letter issued by the employer). Letter should state details of professional relationship, complete contact information of the employer and average salary estimated in USD.
  • Proof of income in order to demonstrate economic solvency (for example, at least last three pay slips, at least last three credit card statement and/or at least three last month bank statements).
  • Round trip reservation (Recommendation: do not purchase tickets before obtaining the visa)
  • Hotel reservation or proof of accommodation in the Argentine Republic. Reservation must be made under the name of the applicant (not groups).
  • Payment of consular fee: USD 200.-

Please note that Consular authorities may require supplementary or additional documents were deemed necessary.

FULFILMENT OF ALL OF THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE GRANTING OF A VISA, WHICH REMAINS AT THE EXCLUSIVE OPTION OF THE ARGENTINE STATE.

 

INVITATION LETTER:

The letter must contain all the contact information that is deemed necessary so that the contact with the inviting person / company is simple and fast (please find attached below the mandatory information that invitation letter must contain).

Option 1: Invitation letter sent to the office of the Argentine Embassy

The invitation letter must be legalized by notary public and association of notaries (even when a tourist visa applicant is invited by a family member or friend).

THE ORIGINAL INVITATION LETTER MUST BE FORWARDED TO THE ARGENTINE EMBASSY IN INDONESIA AT THE ADDRESS THAT IS AT THE FOOT OF THIS PAGE. SOFT COPY OF THE INVITATION LETTER DULY LEGALIZED CAN BE ACCEPTED TO BEGIN THE VISA APPLICATION PROCESS.

Option 2: Invitation letter sent through Trámites a Distancia (TAD)
